Some of the games are pretty difficult, The tree climbing is extremely hard to get an A, but the other mini games are fun. The characters and their upgrades like demon wind shurikens and poison bombs are useful in battle and everyone seems to have their signature ultimate jutsu and one or two other surprises. The only complaint that I have is the use of Kisame and Itachi, too brief and a little cheesy. Throw the third Hokage into that mix as well. I love the controls and the PSP graphics are excellent. I actually wonder why I waited so long to buy one. This game is longer than God of War so it keeps you busy, even though the mini games do get a little repetitive after a while. I highly recommend this game. My only complaint is the overall all game is pretty short (only 15 missions I believe). Pfft, that game is super fast compared to the disastorus load times of MX vs ATV on the edge. The load times are absoluty mind numbing and it's quite painful to watch the gear (the object that indicates loading). move S...L...O...W...L...Y. And it's no help either that the game gives you a boring backround to read, basically the controls over a grey, boring backround. Waiting for a game will never kill you as much as this. I think this gets my vote as the worst load times ever seen in a videogame. Maybe you should of picked up Maverick Hunter X instead. The game carries the same difficulty the SNES version had, but with beautiful redone graphics. The game has a sharp edge feel to it and the extra character you can play with keeps the replay value a little higher than it should, although it cant compare to the features of Powered Up. The armaments you pick up are scattered through the levels differently this time around and is actually easier to get to when compared to the old version. All in all, great game, fantastic price. I really like when the various companies reproducing arcade classics for ports onto various computer and gaming interfaces get creative and make up new versions of the of the old game and add them into packages with the classics. There was a killer new take on Centipide for the PC once, the Atari jaguar nailed Tempest to the wall, and Namco's new recipes for their psp port is still the king. This is not quite the case this time, the evolved portion is more like a facelift rather than a new girlfriend. Kind of like skins, don't get me wrong the evolved versions are definately graphics upgrades, but they just don't radically change the way the game is played. I played the PC version and could not stand looking at the screen longer than 15 minutes until I felt sick....motion sickness I guess. Playing it on the PSP eliminated that problem. It still amazes me to have all three islands on a small little handheld. The controls are better than expected. Unlike the PC, you've got the option and advantage of auto-aim. The only problem is, once you're done with the game, the PSP slim seemed to crash randomly. The only way to avoid this seemed to require loading another game...minor inconvenience. I still highly recommend this game to PSP ownerz.
