Monster Hunter isn't for everyone, that's for certain. Capcom has made this game with a very specific audience in mind: Hardcore gamers. The game is nothing BUT hardcore. You start off as a rookie hunter being taught the ways of the hunt by the village elder, he gives you a few quests right off the bat that are fairly mundane like gathering mushrooms and cooking meat which may seem boring to some, but to people new to the game it's a very necessary learning process that will help you get used to the controls.
